SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2024

The SBI Clerk Prelims exam consisted of three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the exam were 100 and the duration was one hour. The candidates had to score a minimum percentage of marks in each section as well as in aggregate to qualify for the main exam. The cut-off marks for each category and state will be decided by SBI based on the number of vacancies and the difficulty level of the exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2024


The SBI Clerk Mains exam is conducted online and consists of 190 objective-type questions. The total marks for the exam are 200 and the duration is 2 hours and 40 minutes. There is a sectional timing for each section and a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam pattern is as follows:

The SBI Clerk Main exam will have four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. The total marks for the exam will be 200 and the duration will be two hours and 40 minutes. For every wrong answer, there will be a one-fourth of a negative rating. The candidates who qualify for the main exam will be called for a local language test, where they will have to demonstrate their proficiency in the local language of the state they have applied for.

The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the main exam and the local language test. The merit list will be prepared in descending order of the aggregate marks scored by the candidates in the main exam. The candidates who are provisionally selected will have to undergo document verification and medical examination before joining as SBI Clerks.
