SSC CPO 2024 Exam Pattern
The SSC CPO 2024 exam will consist of four stages: Paper-I, Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST), Paper-II and Medical Examination. The details of each stage are given below:
- Paper-I: Paper-I will be an online objective test comprising four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section will have 50 questions carrying one mark each. The total duration of the test will be two hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- PET/PST: Candidates who qualify Paper-I will be called for PET/PST. PET will consist of various physical activities such as running, jumping, shot put etc. PST will consist of measuring height, chest and weight of candidates. PET/PST will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for it.
- Paper-II: Paper-II will be an online objective test comprising one section: English Language and Comprehension. The section will have 200 questions carrying one mark each. The total duration of the test will be two hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify Paper-II will be called for Medical Examination. Medical Examination will consist of checking the eyesight, hearing, blood pressure, etc. of candidates. Medical Examination will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for it.

- General Intelligence and Reasoning: This section will test the logical and analytical abilities of candidates. - English Comprehension: This section will test the language skills and comprehension abilities of candidates. The topics will include error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), vocabulary (synonyms/antonyms), spellings (detecting misspelt words), grammar (sentence structure), sentence completion (phrases and idiomatic use of words), comprehension etc.
